Watson BarryWATSON, George Barry - (November 30, 1931 - July 6, 2022) -

"Barry joyously walked through the Gates of Heaven as a beloved husband to his beautiful wife, father of six loving and devoted children and the grandfather and great-grandfather of descendants who will carry on his legacy. He was deeply loved and admired by all".

Born in London, Ontario in 1931, George Barry Watson was the son of proud parents, Earle and Zoe Watson.

Early on, Barry demonstrated his love of family, friends and his immeasurable love of art having later graduated from the Ontario College of Art. He will be remembered for his exceptional talent as a professional artist.

His favourite pastimes were creating watercolour paintings, cars, his keen sense of style, a good beer, driving for Brampton Transit, being Santa, his Hamilton Tiger Cats, Western University football and creating beautiful jewellery in his retirement.

His greatest pleasures were being surrounded by his family and cats, relaxing at his cottage and spending time with his ever-loving wife, Elizabeth.

Barry passed from this world on July 6, 2022 at the age of 90 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Elizabeth, and loved by his 6 children Barry James, Nancy, Sharon (Doug), Maureen, Laura (Joe) and Paul (Sheryl) along with his grandchildren Robert, Ryan, Leigh, Dakota, David, Paul, Andrew, Thomas, Christopher, Olivia, Madeline, Cameron, Alexander, Eric and his two dear sisters Celia Curtis-Hamilton and twin Clarice Giffen-Morris.

Donations can be made to a cause close to his heart: Ontario SPCA and Humane Society

Arrangements are entrusted with Andrews funeral home, Brampton, Ontario.

“As long as we remember a person, they are not really gone. Their thoughts, their feelings, their memories become a part of us.”
