MAKIMOTO, Grace Tsuiko (nee URA)   -  April 15, 1935 – October 27, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our mother from natural causes on October 27, 2022, at the age of 87.

Beloved mother of Jeff (Pat), Dean (Kelly Ann), Kelly (Karen), and Bonnie (Ray), adoring grandmother of Jennifer (Rob), Quade, Dustin, Kalysta, Kaine, Kole, Nolan, and Reed, and great-grandmother of Finn.

Grace was predeceased by her husband, Jitsuo Makimoto.

She will be greatly missed from our daily lives, as well as by her sister, Nancy; sisters-in-law, Betty, Mita, and Marge; nieces and nephews; extended family members and dear friends. Grace touched many lives over her 87 years of life, in particular when she was an educational assistant, known to school children as "Mrs. M".

She enjoyed keeping up to date with extended family via her recent interest on Facebook.

Mom loved spending time with her family for events including: New Year's Day, birthdays, graduations, weddings, sports events and more.

Most of all, mom and dad taught us many important values, that we will continue to honour and cherish throughout our lives. Grace's legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she knew and loved.

At Grace's request, there will be no funeral or service.

Share your memories of Grace when you speak with others and help her kindness, loyalty and compassion continue by making a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
