TURNER, Stephen Gilbert "Gib" - 1951 – 2022 Gib was born in Hamilton, Ontario, on Tuesday, August 14, 1951, and passed away at Bridgepoint Palliative Care Hospital in Toronto, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, following a recent diagnosis of cancer.
He is the beloved son of the late William E. Turner and Dolly E. Turner (Saxby), and is survived by his siblings, Beverley A. Newburg of Toronto, M. Christine Dickinson of South Carolina, and Thomas S. Turner of Toronto.
He is fondly remembered and will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, especially Lisa and Keith Gilbert and their dog, Spike.
Gib will be remembered as a free spirit who made friends with whomever he met. He loved a good book, especially by such authors as Peter Robinson and Stephen King, and always enjoyed baseball and a good movie.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of his Life will take place at a later date.
