Catalano DeniseCATALANO, Denise Kathleen (nee MOLE)   -   Denise Kathleen Catalano (née Mole), 71, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 7, 2023.

 

She was born to parents, Alfred and Dorothy Mole, on July 19, 1951, in Toronto, Ontario.

 

She was married to Joseph Catalano on October 11, 1975.

 

Denise is survived by sons, Michael and Charles. Denise was predeceased by parents, Alfred and Dorothy Mole; and husband, Joseph Catalano. She had 3 sisters, Sandra Elders, Linda Dunford, Susan Mole; and 1 brother, Wayne Mole.

She was a nurse for many years, which included working in nursing homes, hospitals, and palliative care. She had a passion for sports, reading, crafts, and volunteering.

 

She channelled her strong entrepreneurial spirit into various business ventures, such as making custom beaded jewellery. She was characterised by her kindness and her ability to positively transform any environment she was in.

 

Visitation and memorial service will both be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (6191 Yonge St., Toronto).  The visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. Burial and reception to follow.

 

The family requests that people make donations in support of St. John's Rehab at Sunnybrook, in lieu of flowers.

 

She will be fondly remembered by her sons, extended family, friends, customers, and co-workers.
