Passed away with his loving partner, Judy, at his side.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Diana) and David (Darlene); three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Fred will be remembered as "The Guy," who sat in his apartment lobby each afternoon, greeting and feeding the dogs his buffet of treats.
A special thank you to his dog friends and others who sat with him and guided him home as he struggled with his failing memory; and to his doctor, nursing staff and the musicians on L wing (1st Floor) at Sunnybrook for their compassion and extraordinary care in making him feel comfortable as he slipped away from us.
He will be missed by his family, friends and the dogs he loved.
