Nusca BridgetNUSCA, Bridget Martha (nee BELISARIO)  -  Passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, at the age of 94 in Toronto after a fulfilling and beautifully lived life.

Predeceased by her adored husband of 50 years, Clemente, and all 11 of her much-loved siblings.

Proud and dedicated mother of Mark (Maria), Monsignor Robert, Cathy, Michael (Melanie) and John (Lisa).

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Rachel (Mike), Lindsay (Jeremy), Nicole, Dillon, Matthew, Daniella, Veronica, Anthony and Christopher; and great-grandchildren, Leah, Zoe and Ethan.

Born in the rural coal-mining town of North Minto, New Brunswick on September 9, 1929, 'Bree' left school early to work in the family restaurant after her Italian immigrant parents Italia and Cesare Belisario relocated to Hamilton, On. to start a new life.

It was there that she met her future husband, Clemente – eventually embarking on a loving marriage and a dedicated family life in Toronto, throughout which there was rarely 'a dull moment.'

While we will miss her dearly, we also celebrate a life well lived and a legacy to be proud of. We offer our most heart-felt thanks to the amazing staff at Cummer Lodge Care Home in Toronto, where our mother spent the last few months of her life being well cared for and at peace.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 20th at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 3220 Bayview Avenue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 and reception to follow at Blessed Trinity parish hall. Interment in Thornhill.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bridget's memory may be made to your local Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
