HALLIWELL, Margaret Jessie - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Halliwell, pianist, teacher, mentor, mother and loyal friend.
She died on December 31, 2023 with her loving husband, Don MacDonald by her side.
In the final weeks of her illness, she was surrounded by her loving family and friends who shared with her their music and immense love.
She was born in St. Catharines to Helen and Percy Halliwell. Her siblings were Jane Deer (nee Halliwell, deceased) and John Halliwell.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Don MacDonald, her two daughters, Emily Halliwell-MacDonald and Shannon Halliwell- MacDonald; brother, John; nieces, Susan, Leah and nephews, Shawn, Greg, Colin and Noel.
In addition, we wish to acknowledge the special care and enormous compassion of Dr. Erika Vowinckel.
A memorial will be held February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church on-the-Hill, Toronto.
