BOYD, Bryan Norman - On Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Norman passed away peacefully in his 99th year.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, of 66 years; three sons, Robert, William and Bryan, four granddaughters, Ann-Marie, Daniella (David Banks), Kaitlin and Nicole; great-grandson, George Banks.
A veteran of WW2, Norman served in the RCAF. Norman's career after WW2 began at Hydro, and later teaching High School Mathematics and Computer Science.
Norman strongly believed in the importance of education and was a lifelong learner himself. A devoted family man, Norman loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays with the family he so deeply cared about. An avid sailor, initially in dinghies and later with his family sailing keel boats.
In retirement, Norman and Suzanne took up scuba diving which they combined with travel and enjoyed many spectacular dives. Norman will be missed by those close to him, both family and friends, in whom he always took a keen interest in hearing of their plans and caring about their future.
The family extends their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, who compassionately cared for and supported him.
