It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myrna Gropp, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, at the age of 92, at Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket, on April 7, 2024.

Born in Huntsville, Ontario, the youngest daughter of the late Winnifred Dales and Jerry Markle, she was predeceased by her siblings, Jeanne, Charles and Grant.

Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, of 70 years. Cherished mother of Carolyn, Daryl (deceased), Bryan, Allyson (Jim), and Elvyn (Heidi).

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Jennifer, John, Alyssa, Kaylee, Ayden, Jessica; and missed by nieces and nephews and other family members whose lives she touched. Myrna was educated in Huntsville and was employed by the Royal Bank both in Huntsville and Toronto.

In 1953, she married Douglas Gropp and lived in Scarborough and Georgina.

She enjoyed time with friends and family and she had many interests including: oil painting, knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening and baking.

Myrna leaves behind fond memories and lives enriched with her kindness, smiles and her love of life.

As per Myrna's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral.
