HUSBAND, Gunilla Maria (nee Ekstrom)  - Born in Nykarleby, Finland, June 16, 1924 passed away in Toronto on November 11, 2017.

Predeceased by husband David Husband (1992) and brother Robert Ekstrom.

Will be missed by children Kathryn, Christine Boyd (Bill), Andrea Atkinson (Lee) Shelagh (Steve Kressler), Brita Promane, Fiona (Stuart Laidlaw), Lennart (Nancy Prior) and Rhondda (David Webster), sister Doris Byers (Jim) and grandchildren Conor, Garret, Ingrid, Guthrie, Cole, Maggie, Noah, Keegan, Gillian and Everett.

The family would like to thank Meighen Manor and especially Joan Irwin for the care they provided our mother.

Gunilla came to Canada at the age of 3 and was raised in Kapuskasing.  She was a Girl Guide leader, choir member and then a tax preparer. Daughter, sister, scholar, teacher, wife, mother, Mommo, church member, dancer, door prize winner, gardener, clog wearer, singer, Guide leader, sewer, knitter, reader of many books, crossword and cryptic solver, best pie baker, prize-winning weightlifter, environmentalist, bird watcher, world traveller, tax preparer but most of all she was our loving, listening, kind, beautiful and smart Mum.

Cremation has already taken place.

Memorial Service on Saturday, December 9th at 1:30 p.m., at Don Mills United Church (corner of Pape and O'Connor).

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
