BRIDGE, Dean Brady - December 28, 1962 - November 14, 2017

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dean.

He died at home peacefully in his sleep early Tuesday morning, with family. Dear son of Kathleen and the late Robert; loving brother to Christopher (Anita), Jeffrey (Arlene), and Shari.

Devoted uncle; loved by his aunts, uncles and cousins; and a friend to so many. Dean was a bright light full of joy and love, and had a great sense of humour. He loved music (singing and guitar), animals, nature, travel, events (fireworks!) and people.

He enjoyed sports, whether watching the Leafs and Jays, or participating and competing in numerous Special Olympics teams and events. He especially liked helping younger athletes.

His inner strength, determination and eagerness to try new things showed everyone that whatever the challenge, one could try their best to overcome and find THEIR way to do things and succeed while smiling.

Dean truly embodied the Special Olympics Oath, "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."

A hero to many, Dean will be forever loved and missed.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, Mississauga, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment at Springcreek Cemetery with reception nearby to follow, at which guests are invited to share memories.

For those who wish, donations to Special Olympics Ontario (Alpine and softball) or charity of your choice is appreciated.
