MORRIS, Sheila Mary (nee Mellor)  - Passed away peacefully at home in Newmarket on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 90 years of age.

Loving wife of Sid for 54 years. Cherished mum of Shawn (Sydella) and Katrina (Mike).

Proud Grandma of Tyler, Connor, Sierra and Heather. Survived by brother Frazer and predeceased by sister Heather.

Sheila was born in Scotland on March 9, 1927 and lived in the small town of Alexandria, near the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. She attended Secretarial College before leaving home to travel the world, eventually settling in Toronto in the mid 1950s. Sheila worked at the Dumbarton Tax Office (Scotland), as a Governess (Australia) and as an Executive Secretary at Imperial Oil, Bate Chemical and Sidney L. Morris Securities (Toronto).

Sheila was a gifted singer who performed with the Canadian Opera Company, the Esso Choristers, and at a multitude of special events. She was an active member of the Trident Club at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, where she met her husband.

She joined Walmer Road Baptist Church as a soloist and remained an active member for over 40 years.

Special thanks to the palliative care team, the PSWs from We Care and the Saint Elizabeth nurses for their tender loving care. Private cremation has already taken place.
