FELDHEIM, Irma Rose (nee WHITESMAN)  - December 31, 1937 - June 25, 2018

Daughter of Louis and Dora Whitesman (predeceased), sister of Norman Whitesman (predeceased) and loving mother of Shelley Feldheim.

Irma was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

She became a nurse and graduated from the Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing in 1957.

She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh in 1962.

In 1969, Irma earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and worked as a social worker until her retirement in 2003.

In Canada, Irma worked as a social worker at the Catholic Children's Aid Society, Baycrest, and North York General Hospital.

Irma passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. She is survived by her daughter Shelley Feldheim, sister-in-law Gloria Whitesman, nephews Barney Whitesman and his wife Marla, Guy Whitesman and his wife Ilene and David Whitesman.

She is also survived by great-niece and nephews Louis Whitesman and his wife Dana and their son Astor, Joey Whitesman, Jenna Whitesman as well as many dear friends.

Service will be held graveside on Sunday, July 1st, 11 a.m. at Pardes Chaim Cemetery (Community Section), 11818 Bathurst St., Maple, ON.

Memorial Donations may be made to the North York Seniors Center, or the Toronto Zoo.
