DE MELO, Mariano - On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 Mariano, passed away unexpectedly at age 79.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Natalia (Garcia), his two daughters Carmen and Diane, Diane’s husband Tyler (Middlebrook) and their two children, Audrey and Patrick.
Mariano was born on April 23rd, 1942 to parents Manuel and Maria do Carmo in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, where he was raised with his 5 brothers. He left Portugal in 1960 and settled in Toronto where he met his wife, Natalia, who he married on August 3, 1968. Together they raised their two daughters, Carmen and Diane.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ilse Johanna Schneider (née Heidenblut), our beloved Mother.
Ilse passed away July 7, 2021 at Moira Place Long Term Care in Tweed, Ontario at age 92.
Ilse was a devoted wife of 65 years to the late Josef Johann Schneider, dear mother of daughters Charlott and Isabel, proud Oma to grandchildren Laura, Heather, Erin, Jolene and Ken, and great-grandchildren Seda, Madison, Sophie, Lucy and Nash.
Ilse is survived by her sister Hanna and family (Germany), and Schneider family (Kitchener, Ontario and Germany).

BURRELL, Margaret Ann (nee HUGHES) - Margaret Ann Burrell died on July 7, 2021 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto; she was "only 89."
The daughter of Almer and Leta Hughes of Minto Township, Wellington County, she was one of six children born during the Depression: Donna Bell, Garfield Hughes (deceased), Mildred Fair, Lorna Hutchison and Shirley Ziegler (deceased).
Beloved wife of Norman Douglas Burrell (deceased) for 51 years, she was also mother of Mark and Jennifer (deceased). Margaret was a registered nurse, graduating from Toronto Western Hospital's School of Nursing.
Before starting a family, she worked in a doctor's office in Toronto.
After her children were in school, she updated her nursing degree at Seneca College and worked for many years for North York Public Health, supporting seniors and administrating school immunization.

FILICE, Carlo - (September 18, 1960 - July 6, 2021) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Carlo Filice.
Predeceased by his father Giuseppe, Carlo will forever be sorely missed by his mother Ida, sisters Susanna, Silvana (Emilio), Nella (John), and his many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, friends and favourite dog, Lola.
During his career at the Toronto Transit Commission, Carlo received the honourable Award of Excellence. He proudly retired after 35 years as a Rail Vehicle Analyzer.

CERNIGLIARO, Corradina (Scala) - Corradina (Scala) Cernigliaro, age 90, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 6th, 2021, peacefully alongside her family at Cobourg Hospital.
She was born April 22nd, 1931, in Sicily, Italy, a daughter to the late Francesco and Giuseppina Scala.
Corradina was preceded in death by her husband, Giuseppe Cernigliaro, her son, Francesco Cernigliaro, her grandson Joseph Cernigliaro, her brother Vincenzo Scala, her sisters Sebastiana Scala and Gaetana Campisi, and her nephew Corrado Scala.

MARSHALL, William 'Bill' - Passed away on July 6, 2021.
Hello everyone. This is my final goodbye to all my relatives and friends and, most lovingly, to my wonderful wife of over 53 years, Sue Marshall. I’m sorry dear, that it is time for me to go and that I can no longer be there to provide my love and support as you go through your final years.
I go to join my dear departed older siblings, Ian Marshall, Mary Finnie and Jesse Pfaff and I wish the best to my surviving siblings Edith Biggs and Betty Mullen and Sue’s sister and her husband, Jo and Malcolm Morgan. I take with me many fond memories of our lives together and the many celebrations and joys we have shared.

MONAHAN, Dr. Edward Joseph, PhD, LMS - (August 18, 1928 - July 6, 2021)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Edward Monahan, peacefully, on July 6, 2021, at Leaside Retirement Home, Toronto in his 93rd year.
Edward was predeceased by his brother Arthur (2006), and his parents Arthur and Grace (nee Kelly).
He is survived by his sister, Rita Fiorini, by his wife, Eleanor, and by their five children: Peter (Janice), Catherine (Paul); Paula (Nada); Nicki; and Elizabeth (Paul), and his grandchildren, Kathleen, Timothy, and Siobhan Monahan, and Robert and Eleanor Georgi.
In describing his formation as a young man by the Basilian priests at St. Michael's College, Edward said he came to realize "one could serve God by dedication to an academic vocation without ordination or consecration to the religious life."
