RITA, Jose de Assunção - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jose, loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend to those whose lives he touched, on March 3, 2021 at the age of 85.
After several months of declining health, Jose died peacefully surrounded by his family at his bedside at Hospice Wellington in Guelph.
Loving husband to the late Cecilia Rita (Baranito), Jose cherished every moment with his daughter Raquel Bowes (Rita), son-in-law Brent Bowes, and grandson Ryan Joseph Bowes.

BABATZANIS, Geogina 'Georgie' (Choras) - After a long and fulfilling life, Georgie Babatzanis passed away peacefully with her niece by her side on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at the age of 94.
Georgie was predeceased by her beloved husband Dr. John Babatzanis, and her much loved siblings Angeline, Bessie, and Peter.

PERKOVIC, Elfriede (Mohrle) (nee BLASER) - November 5, 1929 - March 3, 2021
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Elfriede (Mohrle) Perkovic, age 91, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Mohrle was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of 65 years, Stipo (Steve) who passed away in October 2020.
She was the proud and loving mother of Maureen and Peter (Sharon) and beloved grandmother to Laura, John, Katherine and Stephen.
Mohrle is survived by her brother-in-law Peter Perkovic (Nancy) of Oakville and was aunt to Patricia (David) of Burlington and Stephen (Shari) of Vancouver Island.

MARTIN, Thomas R. - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in his 76th year.
After a courageous battle with cancer Tom died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Tom enjoyed his many years coaching Preston Minor Hockey in the 1970’s.
He spent his career in the plastics industry until his retirement in 2011.
Tom had a passion for fishing and gardening, and he loved bingo.

WICKS, Robert (Bob) Ernest Charles - December 22, 1932 - March 3, 2021
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 88, after a short battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Mary Jane Wicks.
Loving father of Heather Wicks, Teresa Young (Stefan Young) and Alan Wicks (Denise Ridley).
Loving grandfather of Christopher Wright (Marissa Genge), Catherine Wright, Matthew Wicks and Nathan Wicks. Great-grandfather of Grayson Wright.
Raised in Aylmer, Ontario, Bob married the love of his life Mary Jane in 1954 and soon after started a family.
At that time, Bob started working for the Bank of Montreal where he spent almost 45 years.

HYDE, Kenneth Arthur - Our gentle giant died with family by his side at Sunnybrook Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 91 years old.
He is predeceased by Shelagh Jane (nee Lawson), his wife of 47 years.
Ken will be greatly missed by his daughters Elizabeth and Joanne (Brian Gooding), grandchildren Andrew and David Spear, Jillian and Charlie Gooding and, partner Helen Hurd.
Ken has joined many family and friends who have gone before him including, our mother Shelagh, parents Gertrude and Frank, siblings Robert and Marnie, granddaughter Erin and, many friends from Winnipeg, Toronto and, Stoney Lake.

HOANG, Tuan Dinh Hoang - Passed away at the age of 82 years on March 3, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Lan Anh Luu, and his six children, Long, Chien (Tom), Thang (Victor), Anh (Peter), Dung (Danny), and Viet (Michael).
He will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and friends here and in Vietnam.

NESS, Kenneth Charles - January 25, 1938 – March 3, 2021
It is with great sadness that Ken's family announce his passing on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 83.
His courageous battle with cancer has come to an end.
Ken leaves behind his wife, Estelle, the love of his life and best friend; son, Charles G. (Sam) Ness (Vicky), Michael Pickett (deceased); daughters, Shanda Ness- Chronowich and Michelle Gray-Dakins (Mike); grandchildren, Adam Gray, Samantha Gray (Richard), Madison Ness, Alex and Emily Chronowich; and a very special great-granddaughter, Victoria Gray; sisters, Carol, Peg (deceased); brother, Gord (deceased); brother-in-law, Fred Wallbank (Ruth) and Gower Wallbank (deceased). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

CONNELLY, Agnes 'Nan' Hall - Passed away March 3, 2021 at home with her three children Allan, Gordon, and Elaine and husband Jack present. We all held her hands as she passed.
Nan was born in Kilmarnock Scotland April ninth 1940 Her home was in Canada since 1966.
She had seven grandchildren who all adored her, Devon, Steven, Kirsten, Bryson Katie Callum and Eden.
Nan had two sisters, Mary of Burlington and Betty of Irvine Scotland. her brother was Jack of Birmingham England.

He was the first born son to the late Angelo and Emma Aloisio who he is now reunited with in heaven. Oldest brother, role model and best friend to Gerry Aloisio and brother in law to Lisa Rizzardo.
Beloved husband of 34 years to Anna Carpico-Aloisio, who he loved with all his heart.
Ted and Anna were blessed with 5 children, Cristina, Katherine, Michael, Daniela, and Diana who will miss their legendary dad dearly.

AGUSTIN, Agileo Lacuesta 'Leo' - On March 2nd, 2021, Agileo Lacuesta Agustin, passed away in his 67th year.
Leo was born on October 15th, 1953 in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines to Bartolome and Avelina Lacuesta Agustin.
Beloved Husband of Jessie Primero Agustin, loving father of Gail, Aila and John, and father-in-law of Rod Bernal and Chamreun Lam. Much loved grandfather of Rondail, Raine, Ronan, Rald and JJ.
His contributions included roles as a political leader of Barangay Pao 2nd for multiple years. He served as the voice and fought for farmer rights in his village in the Philippines. He was an Elder and a Deacon for over 20 years for the Toronto Filipino Seventh Day Adventist Church.

We mourn the loss of our mother who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Mary was a loving wife to her late husband Douglas, and she was a devoted mom to Anne (Kevin), Christine (James), and James (Jennifer). A fun-loving Baba, she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Breanna, Cameron, Kristen, Jesse, Tyler and Aidan.

KESSLER, Irving Isaac – Architect and Holocaust survivor, died from complications of pneumonia on March 2, 2021.
After WWII, he arrived in Canada as a refugee with his parents, Nechama and Mordechai. He graduated 1st in his class from McGill’s School of Architecture in 1956 and was awarded the R.A.I.C. Medal of Excellence as well as a travelling scholarship.
He opened his own architectural office in Westmount, Montreal where he designed condominiums, schools and private residences. Notable projects included the Taylor Rehabilitation Centre as well as the design of the 1 st affordable condominium for low income housing in Verdun, Montreal. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, he was ahead of his time in adopting a philosophy of design that emphasized green spaces and sustainable construction. In designing a warehouse for Olympia Tile Co. in Toronto, he included an open green space with large glass windows into their display centre which was a revolutionary concept at the time.

SALVATORE, Georgina Cathleen (nee Brodie) - (February 18, 1943 – March 2, 2021) - Passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital, Toronto, at the age of 78.
She is survived by her husband, Jack, of almost 56 years who is heartbroken at the loss of his “Georgie”. Her children, Cristina Aguanno (Joe) and John Salvatore (Mary), along with her two grandchildren, Richard and Sofia, are heartbroken and will miss her dearly.
Georgina was born and raised in Toronto, and was the youngest of 3 children. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lauretta Sampson and James Brodie.
