Newman LoraineNEWMAN, Loraine   -   Loraine passed away suddenly, on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Born on October 8, 1944 in Toronto, Loraine Jean Newman (née Herbert) of Shallow Lake, was in her 78th year.

Dearly beloved spouse of Michael Le Ber for 47 years.

Cherished mother of Correna and Nadine.

Proud grandmother of Alisha and Brady (Shanny) and great-grandmother of Carter, Hayden, Isla and Ryder.

Loving sister of Carol, Janice and Gloria. Loraine will be missed and remembered by her dear friend, Bianca Carleton. Predeceased by her parents, Richard and Margret Herbert; and her son-in-law, Bart.

Loraine worked for 42 years with Royal Bank and was a banker extraordinaire, loved by customers and staff.

She was a wonderful partner and sounding board. She had tremendous common sense with those around her, sometimes neglecting this at the risk of her own health. She was never reluctant to help others.

She enjoyed travelling by boat, airplane, car and RV. She learned to read a map and often a GPS.

The promised "world's best Chelsea buns" never did materialize. She will be missed.

If so desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
