CUMMINGS, Mary Louise (nee WRIGHT) - Mary Louise Cummings (Wright) born September 22, 1938, passed away peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, on June 1, 2023.
Survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Robert (Bob); sons, Stephen (Cheryl), Paul (Alicia), and Peter (Shelan); sisters, Helen (Jack) and Shirley (Bruce); step-daughter, Lenore; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Ivy and Thomas Wright; and son, John (Bonnie) in 2012.
In her early teens, Mary Lou battled spinal meningitis, a disease that was typically fatal in the early 1950s, and made a miraculous eventual recovery.
Mary Lou always met you with energy, a smile, and a warm welcome. Spanning 60 years, Mary Lou and Bob travelled coast-to-coast in the family RV throughout Canada, US and Mexico, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings.
After retiring, Mary Lou continued to embrace life, travelling North America and cruising the world with Bob, her friends, and family.
She had many great memories, and shared her life experiences, recipes and stories with all her grand/ great-grandchildren. She was loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
