YATES, Barbara - Passed away peacefully in Montreal, at the age of 100.
Loving wife of 70 years to the late Dr. Havelock (Hack) Yates.
Her spirited personality and love of life will be especially missed by her daughter, Pamela (Barry Prieur); her grandchildren, Shannon (Zachary), Amanda (Steve), Jay (Sonia), Matthew (Jess), Erin (Steve), Courtney (Phil) and Jordie (Chelsea); and her nine great-grandchildren.
Barb was predeceased by her brothers, Jeff and Gordon (Jill); and the untimely passing of two of her beloved children, Lynn and Gordon.
Barb enjoyed family excursions, travel, lawn bowling, bridge, and especially entertaining.
The house at 39 Creekwood was the hub of many gatherings, most memorable of which were the pool parties, with Hack's signature cocktails and Barb's bountiful homemade fare.
According to Barb's wishes, no funeral will be held. Her ashes will be interred in the family plot at St. Margaret's Cemetery, Scarborough, at a later date.
