Bonney SusanBONNEY, Susan Gayle (nee KRAUEL)   -

March 23, 1949 - March 19, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved Gayle, on the morning of Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

After a six-month battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully in her home with her husband of 47 years at her side.

Gayle leaves behind her husband, Victor; and her two children, Jessica (Noel) and Adam (Krista).

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Margaret Krauel; and her sister, Janice. Gayle Leaves behind her brother, Robert Krauel; sister-in-law, Joanne; niece, Danielle (Kyle); and nephew, Nicolas.

After being a stay at home parent for her two children, she entered the work force as a daycare teacher, eventually transitioning to a Personal Support Worker for the elderly.

She gained joy and satisfaction from listening to and collecting stories from her elderly clients, fulfilling her passion for writing by documenting their reminiscences in various notebooks. Well known for her love of books and writing, Gayle gained her degree in English literature at Western University in 1970.

The family would like to invite all who knew her to an outdoor celebration of her life at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, Don Mills, Ontario, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow.
