FirstBrook LornaFIRSTBROOK, Lorna Firstbrook   - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Collingwood, Ontario.

 

Born in Oakville on July 5, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Mary (nee Nicholson) and Col. Louis Keene.

 

Lorna grew up on Second St., with her two sisters Kathy, and Joan, and brother Louis Jr.

 

A long time Oakville Historical Society volunteer, an active member of the Oakville Club, long time parishioner of St. Jude's Anglican Church, a swimming instructor to handicapped children.

Lorna was a passionate watercolor artist and gardener.

 

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, William 'Bill' Firstbrook on March 11, 2023.

 

Together they had many wonderful adventures at Osler Bluff, Go Home, Abaco, Collingwood, sailing and traveling the world. Her loving family, Will (Lori), Don, Kary (Geordie), Brian (Stephanie), and Peter (Christine), ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends around the globe who adore her, will miss her warm smile, compassion, and enthusiastic spirit.

 

A memorial service celebrating Lorna's life will be conducted at Christ Church Anglican in Meaford on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11 a.m., a reception will follow at the Meaford Hall.
