Wilson AudreyWILSON, Audrey King  - December 31, 1947 - August 12, 2018

She made the world a better place through her musical talent, love for family and friends, and her beautiful smile.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our mother, wife, sister and friend, Audrey King Wilson.

After living with cancer for the last year and a half, Audrey passed away peacefully in hospice care, surrounded by family.

A professional cellist with immense talent, Audrey's calling as a musician led her from her birthplace in Seattle to Toronto and to the love of her life, her husband Scott, whom she married in 1981.

Audrey leaves behind her husband and soulmate Scott, as well as her grateful and adoring children, Anna and Matthew (Elise), and her new baby granddaughters, twins Hannah and Lauryn.

Her sister Patti, brothers Tom and David, and her many nieces, nephews and friends feel her loss deeply. She said goodbye to her own mother Phyllis, 98, also a professional cellist, just one year ago.

Audrey was a quietly generous person, who did nothing but think of others, especially her husband and children, her whole life. An avid baker, Audrey's perfectly flaky pie crusts were truly legendary.

She also leaves behind ample evidence of her talent as a sewer, knitter and maker of hand-hooked art. We will hold our memories close to our hearts for as long as they continue to beat. Audrey - Mom - we love and miss you.

Nothing will be the same without you and we promise to continue brightening the world on your behalf. To our friends and family, we will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to your charity of choice in Audrey's honour.
