Annetta RosaANNETTA, Rosa - 84, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2019 surrounded by her family at North York General Hospital.

Rosa was a devout wife, mother, and worker. Born in Vallelonga, Italy on August 26, 1935 to her mother Mariarosa Garisto and her father Gasper Garisto. She was one of the youngest of 13 children.

Rosa came to Toronto as a young lady and returned to Italy to marry her sweetheart, Giuseppe Annetta. Together they emigrated to Canada and lived the rest of their lives in Toronto, Ontario. They welcomed their two children Raffaele Annetta and Connie Annetta. Rosa worked as a tailor at the Tip Top Tailor Factory in downtown Toronto. As a hard and dedicated worker, she left home daily at 5 am to her job and still managed to raise her two children, cook all the meals, and tend to her home and cottage.

Rosa was predeceased by her beloved husband who passed away of colon cancer January 17, 1997. Giuseppe was the love of her life and as a result, she never remarried.

Rosa was known for her extreme devotion to her children and grandchildren, the love of her cottage, her garden, and her bubbly, strong personality. Throughout her whole life she very much enjoyed phone calls with her cousins, siblings, in-laws, neighbours, children, and friends, even in the last few weeks of her life. Although Rosa’s body failed her in the end, she was mentally sharp throughout her life.

One of Rosa’s greatest joys was to see her grandchildren grow up. Born to Raffaele and Enza Annetta are her two grandsons Aeric Annetta and Giusten Annetta. Born to Connie Annetta and Dan Miller are her two granddaughters Alexandra Miller and Clara Miller. She was very proud of all their accomplishments.

Rosa’s fun-loving personality that was always full of laughter, song, and stories will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home, Toronto on Friday, September 20th, 2019 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:30pm - 8:30pm. The service will take place at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church, 2747 Jane St., Toronto on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at 9:30am.
