Berndt RichardBERNDT, Richard "Dick" C.   - Dick passed away peacefully January 23, 2021, at home in Orillia.

He was surrounded by the love of family and friends.

He is survived by Joan his best friend and loving wife of 59 years; children Caitlin and Christian (Kellie); and grandchildren Jonas, Nora, and Hunter.

Dick had a successful and passionate career in advertising as a media director and running Berndt Media.

Dick volunteered with the National Advertising Benevolent Society, AD and Sales club, Canadian Advertising Research Foundation, Beavers, Northern High School, Mohawk College, Epilepsy Ontario, and Washago Community Centre.

Dick's loves were the cottage he built near Washago on lake Couchiching, the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club, reading, sailing, cross country skiing, travelling, symphony, and opera.

The family thanks the VON, Bayshore, ParaMed, Dr. R. Sheppard, and LHINS-CCAC for their care and excellent support.

A celebration of life will be held this summer by invitation.

Donations in memory may be made to VON Orillia, Couchiching Conservancy, and Children's Aid Foundation (Toronto).
