POWELL, Sidney Edwin - It is with sadness and love that we announce the passing of Sidney on Friday February 19, 2021 in Brantford.
Sidney was born in Elderslie Township, Bruce County on July 20, 1921.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie and son Gordon.
He is survived by son, Allen (Linda), daughter Irene Horne (Robin), seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Sidney served overseas with the Engineers during the second world war then returned to Toronto and lived in Scarborough from 1953 until 2016. During those years he attended church at St. Paul's United, Ebenezer United and Scarborough Bluffs United.
He was a welder by trade and was occupied in the building of various electric generating stations in Southern Ontario. He was a hard worker, a kind and gentle man and a wonderful husband and father.
