Leibel ArleneLEIBEL, Arlene Ruth (Seligman) - September 27, 1929 - March 7, 2021 - We are saddened to announce the loss of our family's matriarch in her 92nd year.

Our mother epitomized style, grace, generosity and dignity. Mom led by example. She steadfastly believed that "if a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing well." She was unambiguously a perfectionist and yet, for others, she had an intrinsic level of patience and encouragement.

Our mother's devotion to family guided her always. It nurtured strong and loving bonds within her immediate family and later with her two daughters-in-law and son-in-law. It filtered to extended family members and friends.

But, perhaps, the most fortunate recipients of mom's great nature were her grandchildren. "No" was simply not in her vocabulary for them.

Devoted daughter of the late Hyman and Esther Seligman.

Cherished mother of Lorne and the late Eleanor Leibel, Terry (Leibel) and Josh Landon and Corey and Laura Leibel.

Loving and doting grandmother to Cody and Grace, Blake and Amanda, Chloe and Adam, Cole and Kristy, Ali and Ben and Lucas and Jenny. Proud great grandmother of twelve.

Dear sister and sister-in-law of Harold and the late Honey Seligman and Seymour and Sandi Seligman.

We wish to express our profound appreciation to Lorelee Pangan for her many years of dedicated care and thoughtful compassion for our mother. Thanks to her and other wonderful caregivers, our mom was able to enjoy life in her own home. Gratitude to Integracare, as well as the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, especially Dr. Brian Wong, Dr. Amy Nolan and Dr. Brad Strauss.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

In lieu of flowers our family requests that donations be made to the Arlene Leibel Memorial Fund for Sunnybrook Hospital c/o The Benjamin Foundation.
