DAVIES, Yvonne Jeanne (nee CASKENETTE)   -  July 28, 1935 - April 6, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of a remarkable woman who battled cancer for over 25 years with style, grace and laughter.

Yvonne's life revolved around her family, her grandchildren being her greatest source of pride and whose exploits she shared with her friends without reservation!

A kind and generous soul, Yvonne shared her time and talents with many over the years, from wrapping presents at Christmas to teaching needlework to the elderly.

She also loved being in her kitchen cooking and baking, although she was always very stingy about revealing the "secret ingredients" in her special recipes.

Loving daughter of Anicet (deceased) and Albertine (deceased), cherished mother of Mark (Kathy), predeceased by her husband Cliff and daughter Cathy (Bill).

She will be sorely missed by her brother Phil and sisters Rhea, Darlene, and Suzanne.

Predeceased by brothers Victor, Emile and Lawrence, and sisters Laurette, Ida and Annette.

Loving grandmother to Brittany, Daniel, Ryan and Rachel. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their amazing care, compassion and support.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private ceremony will be held with plans for a larger memorial service once the restrictions are lifted.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation: https://www.hamiltonhealth.ca/memorialgiving or the Hamilton Cancer Assist Program: https://cancerassist.ca/ways-to-donate/donate-online/gift-in-memory would be greatly appreciated.
