Steadman DouglasSTEADMAN, Douglas Edward (Doug)   -  The family of Douglas Edward Steadman is broken-hearted to announce his passing on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Oakville, Ontario.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Jane Steadman (nee McCullough).

He will be dearly missed by his three children and was a father-figure to their spouses: Douglas (Lisa), Susan (Michael), and Karen (Andre).

His seven grandchildren Stephanie, Mark, Samuel, Michael, Christine, Connor, and Alianna will fondly remember him as a role model. Doug was delighted to become a great-grandfather to Henry.

Never boastful, often witty, and always a gentleman, Doug leaves behind a legacy of what it means to do the right thing.

He loved golfing, boating and traveling with Jane and their close-knit group of friends.

He was a longtime hockey coach, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels Oakville, a lifelong member of the East-West Investment Club and proud alum of the East York Collegiate Goliaths and Toronto Marlboros.

He had a long career as President, Ontario Division of Pigment & Chemical Inc.

Doug led a very full life, surrounded by many dear friends and family.

For those who wish, remembrances can be made to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or the charity of your choice.
