SMITH, Verena - It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Verena Smith. She died on August 27, 2021 at the age of 79.
Verena is survived by her two children Greg (Ana) and Sonya (Jon).
Lovingly remembered as Oma by her three grandchildren, Evan, Juliet and Cole.
Verena inspired all with her incredible strength, courage and witty sense of humour. She was hardworking, tenacious and an inspiration.
Verena was a lifelong learner who loved to play Bridge, take long walks and chat with friends. She was dedicated to her family and sacrificed everything for her children and grandchildren. She is dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Research Society would be greatly appreciated as we continue to fight this disease together.
Arrangements are entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Brampton chapel. Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the cremation will be private.
