Sullivan DenisSULLIVAN, Denis Joseph - "I face eternity not as a hockey player or an employee, but as the father of fifteen wonderful children, the husband of the prettiest girl ever to be born in Niagara Falls and the grandfather and great grandfather of an enviable number of descendants. And I love all of you.”

Denis passed peacefully from this world on September 14, 2021 at the age of 90.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Muriel 'Midge' Sullivan, and his grandson, Adam.

He is survived and loved by his 15 children Patti (Allen), Sheila (Bob), John (Sonja), Tim (Linda), Kathy (Rick), Therese (Kevin), Denis (Anna), Brian (Cheryl), Peter (Heather), Paul, Tom (Kathryn), Brigette (Pat), Dan (Michelle), Ken (Carrie), and Kevin (Kerry), 43 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, his sisters Eileen (Hank), Margaret and his brother Joe.

Born in Toronto in 1931, Denis was the eldest boy in a family of 10 children. From a young age he demonstrated his dedicated work ethic, a love of sports, a love of hard work, and a good debate. He experienced many jobs from working in wineries, with concrete, sand and gravel, and driving alligators from Florida to Michigan, before he settled in his career at Northern Telecom (Nortel) in Brampton.

In lieu of flowers, you may honour Denis’ dedication to children by donating to a children’s charity of your choice.

Arrangements are entrusted with Andrews funeral home, Brampton. There will be a private funeral mass and burial on Monday. September 20th. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
