MORRISON, John - John Morrison graduated from Bruno's School of Hair Design in 1963, sat the Provincial exam and went on to work in School-owned Beauty Salons in Toronto.
After receiving his designation as a Qualified Hairstyling Instructor, having graduated from George Brown College's Teaching Technique Program in Adult Learning, he then took a position as an instructor at Bruno's.
Bruno's School of Hair Design was established in 1953 and has been under the management and ownership of John Morrison for the past 57 years.
A native of Toronto, John began as an educator soon after the school's inception and quickly rose to a management position based on his commitment to their students to deliver the caliber of training that would make them highly desirable employees.
John and his Partner of 50 years, Art Coulbeck, relocated to Hamilton in 2006 and very quietly lived out their lives in peace and happiness until 2016, when Art passed over.
John has continued to own and operate the Hamilton Branch of the Bruno's School of Hair Design until yesterday.
John has left many dear friends, co-workers and a multitude of much-loved students.
There is no funeral service or showing; John has been cremated this week by his executors in a private service.
