KLINKENBERG, Agathe  -  Together Again: Agathe and Lorenz Klinkenberg Passed away in her sleep, the night of January 4, 2022, two months after turning 100 years old, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in San Francisco.

She joined her husband of 71 years, Lorenz Klinkenberg, who predeceased her on August 18, 2017, just weeks before his 94th birthday.

They are survived by their daughters, Hilka Klinkenberg with her husband Bernard Braverman and Kornelia Davidson with her husband David Davidson.

Both Agathe and Lorenz were born and brought up in Germany.

Lorenz immigrated to Canada in 1951, followed shortly in 1952, by his wife and two daughters. In 1954, they purchased a home in Scarborough, where they resided for 63 years, surrounded by wonderful neighbors.

Her daughter Hilka commuted regularly from New York to participate in Agathe's care.

Lorenz's last words to his daughters were to take very good care of their mother, the love of his life.

Throughout the four years since his death, both Hilka and Kornelia always felt their dad was also looking out for his wife as well because of the ease with which they were able to transplant their mom to the USA. With COVID and closed borders, it was such a blessing to have their mom with them.

Hilka and Kornelia miss their parents, but rejoice in knowing they enjoyed their lives and are now back together again. Their ashes will be interred together in a private family ceremony.

Hilka and Kornelia would like to thank the wonderful caregivers they had through the years who helped them look after their mom and dad.

A special thanks goes to the caring palliative care team who helped make their mom's final days comfortable.
