ALLEN, Stewart E.   -   April 25, 1957 - January 23, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Stewart E. Allen announces his passing on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Stewart passed away peacefully in his home.

He was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Donald and Donna Allen on April 25, 1959.

He grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, with his three siblings and attended Dorset Park Public School and Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, before leaving to pursue a career in the beverage industry. Stewart had a vibrant career at Pepsi, and then later in the Global Bottled Water Industry.

Stewart held almost every position imaginable, from Truck Driver's Assistant all the way up to CEO.

Stewart also served the industry via association advocacy, as well as in volunteer board work. Stewart was passionate about education and philanthropy, and worked closely with Dalhousie University and Wexford Collegiate to help send deserving students to University.

In addition to this, he was also passionate about the Halifax medical community and gave generously to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital. Above and beyond his extraordinary career and philanthropic endeavours, Stew's true adoration was with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Jacki Allen (Jeff Sousa) and Jessi Allen (George Williams); siblings, Steven Allen (Darlene Campbell), Barbara Dionne (Chris Dionne) and Brad Allen (Jane Allen); and by many nieces and nephews, who will all miss him greatly.

Visitation for Stewart will be held at Hope United Church on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., and a reception will follow at Giffen-Mack & Trull (across the street), 2570 Danforth Ave., after the service.
