Sixt AudreySIXT, Audrey Ella (née Bragg) Sixt   -

February 3, 1932 - January 27, 2024

Audrey passed peacefully, on January 27, 2024, in Toronto.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; and her six siblings.

She died just before her 92nd birthday.

She grew up in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, before moving to Toronto in the 1950s.

Audrey was the proud mother of Melanie (Tim), Kirsten (Ian) and Matthew. Devoted Nana to Sarah (Patrick), Christopher (Anna), Jack (Lauren), Gavin, Emma (Kerin) and Mila.

She was delighted to meet the newest addition to her family, her first great-granddaughter, Isla, just a few months ago.

Audrey worked at Davisville Public School helping students in the learning centre. Working with children was her passion. Audrey was a resilient, fierce and strong woman.

She always wanted the best for her family and worried often about each of us.

We want to thank her caregiver and friend, Maria. Her kindness towards Audrey over the years was unwavering and truly appreciated. Thanks also go to her family doctor, Dr. Purti Papneja, who was always there when we needed her, the staff at Briton House for their care and support through the years, and the staff at the Temmy Latner Centre for their support while she was palliative. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

A service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, 230 St. Clair Avenue West, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Teaching Awareness through Puppetry (tap-toronto.com/sponsors/donate-now/) or Timothy Eaton Memorial Church Choir School Fund (www.temc.ca/donate)..
