FOURNIER, Isabella Brown McMillan - Crossed over peacefully at her home in Toronto on October 19, 2019 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her husband Walter Fournier (1989).
Beloved mother of Laurie, Shelli and Jacqueline and grandmother of Gabrielle.
Sister of the late John McMillan (2015).
Isabel is also survived by her sisters Catherine Morton, Flora McMillan, Mary Whittaker and her brother George McMillan.
Isabel was born at South Dippen, Torrisdale, Scotland on the Mull of Kintyre. She emigrated to Canada in 1946 following WWII. Isabel married Walter Fournier and they lived in Victoria Harbour, Ontario where they raised their family. She eventually moved to Toronto in 1989 following Walter’s death to be closer to her daughters and her grandchild.
Over the years, she worked at the BBC in London, Wood Gundy in Toronto and NEBS in Midland. Isabel was an avid storyteller and voracious reader who loved to take long walks and could often be heard singing a Scottish tune. She was an eternal optimist with a poetic sensibility who will be greatly missed. Isabel was immensely proud of her family, and leaves us with many beautiful and happy memories.
