Cruickshank ColleenCRUICKSHANK, Colleen Patricia Lynn (Cardwell) - With a heavy heart we announce that Colleen “Cookie” passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on March 31, 2021.

She leaves behind her loving husband Ian of 55 years, her beloved sons Bryan and Todd and her devoted grandson Christopher.

Cookie was predeceased by her parents John and Ann Cardwell.

Cookie will be sadly missed by her dedicated brothers Tom Cardwell (Susan), Gary Cardwell (Judy) and her best friend and sister Donna Traynor (James) and their families.

She was a much loved aunt, niece and cousin to a large extended family. Cookie was also well loved in her Church community and by her many, many friends.

The most important thing in the world to Cookie was her family. She was strong, stable and consistent in providing a foundation for her family. Ian, Bryan, Todd and Christopher knew that she would always be there for them providing a warm and loving home. She was always there to listen and she showed great care for everyone. She often opened her home to others in need of a family and a welcoming place to stay.

Cookie had a deep love for her Lord and Saviour. She took comfort in knowing that she was a Child of God. She faithfully read her Bible and Daily Devotionals. She prayed and found strength in knowing that God was listening to her. Her Family Bible is a time capsule of her family history and where she marked family milestones and treasures.

Those who knew and loved Cookie deeply feel the loss of a great woman. We believe that she is absent from the body but present with her Lord. As Christians, we can take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again.

Due to COVID restrictions, the visitation and funeral services will be held privately by invitation only. While the family wishes you could all be with them in their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences..
