Hannah EdwardHANNAH, Edward 'Ed' - Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday May 1, 2021 at Sunnybrook Veteran Residences in Toronto days after his 99th birthday.

For his friends and family, his humour and thoughtful kindness will not be forgotten.

Ed was born on April 23, 1922 in Toronto to Percy and Lucy Hannah. He left high school at 16 and worked in the electrical and photo-engraving trades. During WWII he served country with pride as a wireless mechanic for the RAF between 1940 and 1945. Returning to Toronto he began a long career at IBM where he retired in 1987.

In 1948, Ed married Grace Moore and later started their family.

Ed may be remembered best for his contribution to Bethany Lodge in Unionville (now Bethany Christian Living); his faith, passion, and burden for the elderly were pivotal in the founding of the home where he served as president from 1967 until 1995, and in other capacities while he was able.

Arrangements entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home.
