DiFRANCO, Filomena - (1934 - 2021) - Filomena DiFranco passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Her loving husband, Giuseppe, will miss her greatly. Their marriage of 67 years was filled with so much love and fond memories together. Giuseppe always stayed by her side to comfort her throughout her struggle with heart disease.
It is befitting that she would pass away on Mother’s Day as she was so proud to be a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be truly missed by her children, Ben (Mary), Maria (Joe) and Lina (Jim) as well as her grandchildren, Natalie (Hector), Adam (Brenley), Jennifer (Matt), David (Rochelle), Serena (Keon) and William (Lauren) and great-grandchildren, Owen, Nathan, Connor and Leo.
Filomena enjoyed spoiling her family with delicious Italian meals. She had a special talent for telling amazing stories and crocheting beautiful blankets for her family. Together with Giuseppe she created a warm and welcoming home full of laughter and spirit.
Due to Covid restrictions, a small family service will take place. Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
