LOFRANCO, Mary - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully with family by her side July 31st, 2020.
Mary was the second daughter of Arturo & Grace Vertolli, sister to May & Sam (deceased), and survived by her loving younger brother Gordon Vertolli.
She was born August 15th, 1922 at a time when life was much simpler, she met and married Rocco (Rocky) Lofranco in June of 1943 and during those early years she got the nickname of “Molly,” a nickname that stuck with her for life.

SINGH, Lucille Jasoda - Lucille Jasoda Singh, 92 years old of Scarborough, Ontario, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020.
Born in Essequibo, Guyana, she settled in Leguan, Guyana and later moved to Scarborough, Canada in 1981.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Hardat Singh (1989) and much-loved mother to seven children: Hyacinth Bissessar (Florida, USA), Sheila Singh, Esther Persaud, Jessie Singh, and Harold Singh (all in Canada), the late Rosalind Ally (2005: Florida) and Rachel Abdul (the UK).

SILBERMAN, Isaac – On Friday, July 31, 2020, just four days after his 98th birthday, at North York General Hospital.
Born in Lodz, Poland, Isaac survived Auschwitz and the Holocaust, and moved to Canada after World War II.
In 1954, Isaac and a business partner started Reliable Sewing Machine, a company that sold and fixed sewing machines in Toronto’s garment industry. Still operating today, the company was the second largest of its kind in Canada in the 1960s.

CRAIG, Helen Francis (nee Millar) - Daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, warrior.
It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Frances Craig (nee Millar) announces her passing on July 31, 2020 after a brave battle with lung cancer.
Helen, beloved daughter of Doreen and (the late) Ronald Millar, was born and lived her life in the Toronto area.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 33 years, John, and their children Kyle (Amanda) and Brittney (Landon) and her precious granddaughter Olivia.

THORPE, William Alfred 'Bill' - (1939 - 2020) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, William (Bill), on Friday July 31, 2020 at Brampton Civic Hospital.
Born to loving parents Frank & Lillian (both deceased) and raised in East York (Toronto). Bill met his future wife Jayrene at Rolph-Clark-Stone where they both worked and they married in 1966.
Loving husband for 54 years to Jayrene (Jay), father to Debbie Heidtke, Grandpa to Stephanie (Hendrik) Ottevanger & Lori Heidtke, Great-Grandpa to Alexandria & Katherine Ottevanger.

SANDIFORD, Lorna Jessie (née Cook) - Lorna died quietly at Bethany Lodge in Unionville, Ontario on July 31, 2020 due to complications from stroke. She was 94.
Lorna Sandiford was born on May 4, 1926 in Kingston, Ontario to her parents, Lorne and Lillian Cook. She graduated from Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute.
She married Charles John Sandiford in 1950. The Sandifords lived throughout Canada, before settling permanently in Markham, Ontario in 1968. Lorna held several positions over the years as a bookkeeper and became the Circulation Manager for the Markham Economist and Sun newspaper.

WHITE, Loretta June Rose - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Loretta White of Milton ON. She died peacefully with the caring staff of Ian Anderson House at her side on July 31, 2020. She was 83 years old.
Mom loved her family most of all and will also be remembered for her love of nature, travel, and spirituality. She followed her path with education achieving a B.A. in Psychology at York University, an M.A. in Ministry and Spirituality at Regis College, a Spiritual Direction program at Niagara Falls as well as many other programs and courses.

GRECH, Peter 'Paul' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of (Peter) Paul Grech on Friday, July 31, 2020 at The Village of Humber Heights in Etobicoke, Ontario.
Less than two months shy of his 97th birthday, Paul passed away peacefully and is rejoining his late wife of 50 years Rose Grech (nee Buttigieg).

Born in Madras, India, daughter of the late George and Olive (Fowler) D'Sena.
Elizabeth worked in administration at The Peoples Church, Toronto, for over 20 years.
She later moved to Stratford where she worked at Paris Jewellers.

Neil James Firth, proud father to Kathryn, Michael and Calum and loving grandfather to Beatrice, has died peacefully at the age of 75.
Neil was born on February 16th, 1945 in Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom to parents James and Sybil Firth (nee Saich).
He leaves behind ex-wife and mother to his children, Wendy, his brothers Andrew, John and Gerard and his wonderful nieces and nephews.

BURNS, John Clifford - John passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home in Bobcaygeon, on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the age of 69.
John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, who all enjoyed his sense of humour and many stories. John loved camping, fishing, dancing and plaid.
He was retired from IBM but took most pride in being a loving family man.

SPEIRS, Margaret - (April 3, 1928 - Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia - July 31, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta) -
It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce that Margaret Speirs passed away on July 31, 2020 at 11:11 pm. She passed at peace while sleeping in the comfort of her home with Danny and Coreen.
While she moved from Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia as a young woman her heart never left. She married Bob on November 18, 1949. During their marriage they lived in Montreal and the in the Greater Toronto area. She found a job in every place she lived and did her best in each one.

He was a brother to Virginia Gonzaga, Adelie Tupas-Serondo, and the late Rolendo Gonzaga.
He was a loving husband of 64 years to Marilyn Suarez Benedicto.

KULIK, Maria - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in her home, on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the age of 75.
Cherished and devoted wife of the late Kazimierz Kulik (2018) and daughter of the late Wiktoria Czarnota (2019).
She is survived by her son Raymond (Beata), daughter Catherine, siblings Teresa and Stanislaw, and grandchildren Karoline (Ben) and Jakob.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Loretta June White of Milton.
Mom loved family, nature, travel, and spirituality.
She achieved a BA at York University, a Master of Arts at Regis University and completed a Spiritual Director program.
Her career at WSIB spanned nearly 25 years and she did volunteer work at Holy Rosary Parish.

MacKINNON, Mary Elizabeth (nee DAKIN) - 1922 - 2020 We are deeply saddened that our beloved Mother, Grammy and Aunt has passed away on July 31st, in Oakville.
Although she was 98, it was unexpected. Mary grew up in Montreal, graduating from McGill University in Phys-Ed ('43).
She taught at Acadia University and then worked for the YWCA in Sydney, NS, during WWII, before marrying Roland W. MacKinnon in 1948.
She raised her three sons, in Vermont, Ohio and Toronto, spending joyous summers with extended family at her parents' home in the Laurentians.

GROSMAN, Edita (nee FRIEDMAN) - Passed away on July 31, 2020, in Toronto, Canada.
The 96-year-old Holocaust survivor was born in Humenne, Slovakia, on July 11, 1924.
She was 17 when she and her sister, Lea, were taken with 999 other girls to Auschwitz, on March 25, 1942.
Despite contracting TB, Edita survived almost three years in Auschwitz. Her sister did not.
