GIRIMONTE, Vincenza - With sadness, we announce the passing of Vincenza on August 14, 2021 at the age of 86.
She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Francesco (2001) and daughter Gemma (2020).
She will lovingly be remembered for her larger than life personality and her passionate love of family.
It gave her great pleasure to host gatherings, cook and bring people together. She was a trusted counsellor and confidant to many, always there to lend an ear or hand and to give great advice.

Silvino was one of 7 siblings and has now been reunited with his parents João and Rosalina and siblings Maria, Henrique, Joaquim, and Garcinda.

DEMENEZES, Alda Maria - (July 6, 1956 to August 13, 2021) - It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Alda, after a courageous battle against cancer.
Alda passed away peacefully with her loving husband, Luis and her sons Jason and Jeffrey by her side.
Family was everything to Alda; she will be dearly missed by her devoted husband Luis of 45 years, her son Jason, his wife Stephanie and their son Carter who brought immense happiness to her life, her son Jeffrey and fiancée Laura. WOODS, Ernest - Ernest passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday August 13, 2021 at the age of 94.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his daughters Diane Woods and Deborah Pearson, and predeceased by his son David Woods. He was a loving grandfather to Joel (Rachael) and Ayla Pearson, and his great grandchildren Hazel and Finn.
Ernest was born in Edmonton, and spent his childhood with his older brother Maurice and his parents, Edward and Josephine Woods, on their homestead in Payton, Saskatchewan. At the age of 9, the family moved to Vancouver. In 1950, Ernest graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of British Columbia with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He began his pharmacist career at Saint Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Shortly thereafter, he met the love of his life Margaret and they were married in June 1954. After the birth of his two daughters, Ernest moved the family to Toronto in 1958. A year later his youngest, a son was born. In 1964, Ernest moved the family to Brampton and became the proud owner of Large’s Pharmacy at 31 Main Street North where he continued to work until his retirement in 1999, 35 years later.

FERMANIS, George - (July 20, 1922 – August 13, 2021)
George Fermanis Sr. was born on July 20th, 1922 in the village of Bouf in Northern Greece.
George was married to his predeceased wife, Thomai, in 1952 and became the proud parents of their twin children, Chris and Frances in 1953.
In search of a better life and opportunities for his family, they all immigrated to the United States in 1967, sponsored by his brother Nick Fermanis. In 1970, the family moved to Toronto where he worked in the restaurant industry.

KRAUSE, Albert Ernest Krause - of Scarborough, dear husband of the late Dorothy (Allen) Krause, passed away suddenly in his home, on August 13, 2021.
He was 86 years old. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ingeborg Pappenfuss, his nephew Uwe (Sabine) and their son Nico all of Germany.
In Canada, he leaves his nephews Jim Knowles (Iris Keating) and his children Cindy, Joanne, James and Tracey; Neville Knowles (Charlotte) and their daughter Kate, Peter Knowles (Linda) and his niece Lisa Moxley (Geoff) and their children Erin, Emily and Bryan.
He was predeceased by his mother Helen Sryngel and his father Albert Krause.
Dieter immigrated to Canada in 1953, taking up residence in Kitchener where he met his sweetheart, Dorothy Allen.

CUNNINGTON, Carolyn Eileen - It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Eileen Cunnington (nee Grealis) announce her passing on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 80 years old.
She passed away peacefully with her children by her side after a valiant fight with alzheimer's disease.
Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Philip Cunnington.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two children Heather and David, her daughter-in-law Emi, two granddaughters Yuuka and Sakura, and her cherished family in Toronto.
Carolyn happily spent her last decade with her precious grandchildren.

TANIZAKI, Lillian - Passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.
She would have celebrated her 87th birthday in September. Lillian was the daughter of the late Mitsuru and Tatsu Tanizaki, market gardeners from White Rock, BC, who were interred in Tashme and New Denver.
Loving sister to Tamiko and predeceased by Tayeko and Ellen. Lillian was a good student and although her studies were interrupted by a serious car accident, she was able to complete her B.A. at The University of Western Ontario.
A teacher by trade, she taught for many years in the English department at George Brown College.
In her retirement, she was a generous donor and volunteer and attended lectures, cultural events and education throughout the city to broaden her knowledge and understanding of the world.

TALMAN, John Henry - Died peacefully at the E. W. Bickle Complex Care Centre in Toronto on Friday, August 13, 2021. He had been in declining health for several months.
After working at CN Railway and Falconbridge Nickel Mines, in 1973 John went into business as a professional philatelist, selling stamps through retail and auctions to customers around the world. He was still filling orders for customers almost to the end.
He was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Toronto and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Allison (Allie) Margaret Pyper passed away on August 13, 2021 in a Toronto hospital after a short illness.
She is the beloved daughter of Dr. Elizabeth Pyper, and was born in Toronto on May 24, 1982.
Niece to the late Douglas Pyper.
Cousin to Susan Walker (Kenny Walker) and Alan Pyper (Marta Zuchowska). Niece to Dorothy Latham (Colin Latham).
Cousins to Katherine Birmingham (Jamie Birmingham) and Tom Latham.
She graduated from the University of Toronto and received her Law Degree at Bond University in Queensland, Australia where she specialized in Environmental Law.

FEARON, Lynda Frances - August 27, 1945 - August 13, 2021
After a brief illness, at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, at the age of 75, Lynda passed away in peace.
Lynda will be deeply missed by her best friend and loving husband, Ronald G. Fearon. They married on May 15, 1965, and have been inseparable ever since.
Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Frank B. Smith and Evelyn D. Smith (Turner). Predeceased also, by her loving son, David R. Fearon. She will be dearly missed by her children, Kimberley (Fearon) Zincone (Nick Zincone) and Mary-Lyn (Fearon) Cook (Gregory Cook).
Adoring grandmother to Mitchell Zincone, Nicole Zincone, Amanda Cook, Kayla Cook, Matthew Fearon, and Dawson Fearon.

BRISCOE, Rosemary Olga - 1941 - 2021
Peacefully holding her hand, George, the love of her life for 65 years on August 13, 2021, in her 80th year.
Lovingly remembered by her family, late daughter Deborah Ann (Paul), son Christopher (Lori), sister Aileen, grandsons Nicholas, Michael and Anthony, great-granddaugter Arianna Rose.
She will be missed by many other family members and friends.
Rosemary graduated from Trillium General Hospital in 1962 and was a dedicated operating room nurse for 59 years at Queensway General Hospital.
Thank You to the palliative care team, Doctors and Nurses; at Trillium Heath Partners in Mississauga, who cared for her to the end.
